Camping at Bear Creek Lake State Park

We will meet at the Virginia Beach Central library at 8 am to carpool to Bear Creek Lake State Park. We should reach the park about 10 am. That's the morning view from the campsite--> This is a very interesting state park that is surrounded by the Cumberland State Forest. There are several old homesteads, a swinging bridge, and several old graveyards to be found in the State Forest. There is lots to explore in this area! We'll spend the weekend seeing what we can find. Each campsite in the park cost $16. The campsite is able to hold 2 tents only, so you are looking at about $8 per person. *Dogs are welcomed but must remain on a leash, chained, or in a tent/vehicle at all times.
