Beginning with Bloody Mary’s or spiked apple cider for shoppers, the market goes well beyond the traditional. Vendors will offer acclaimed charcuterie meats, chocolates, organic flowers, Lynnhaven Oysters, Virginia’s own cheeses and wines--even goat’s mike soap and table top Christmas trees.
A sampling of offerings: Seasonal and other heirloom vegetables. Lynnhaven River oysters, Eastern Shore clams and other seafood. Country butter and whipping cream. Charcuterie, including freshly made andouille sausage for turkey gumbo plus Bavarian Goulash, described as ‘The first-ever farmers-market fast food'. Virginia cheeses including Caramont, Everona and Monastery – from the market Provisions booth.
The Old Beach Farmers Market is the state’s first outdoor market certified Virginia Green that promotes eco-friendly practices.
