Description
Azoitei and Stans internationally acclaimed recordings of George Enescus complete works for violin and piano (2007, 2008) have inspired this international tour of cultural capitals, bringing the work of this brilliant Romanian composer and musician, who was also teacher to Yehudi Menuhin, to a live, world-wide audience.
In this programme, Enescus music is beautifully complemented by two sonatas by Johannes Brahms: these two titans of chamber music met in late 19th Century Vienna and Brahms became, in his final years, one of the young Enescus greatest influences.
