Description
Choreographer Davide Bombana's passionate ballet "Carmen" will be performed at the Volksoper Wien this season.
Bombana's one-act ballet version of the "Carmen" theme was created in Toulouse in 2006. It was praised by critics for its "artistic, neo-classic, searing language of movement". Working for the first time in Vienna, has now created his definitive, full-length version of the work for the ballet of the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper. His main musical source is Rodion Schtschedrin's Carmen Suite, based on music from Georges Bizet's opera.
Experience this moving new interpretation of a classic dramatic work at the Volksoper in Vienna.
