The KOKO London building opened on December 26, 1900 when it was known as The Camden Theatre. In the decades following, the venue underwent several more name changes before finally opening as KOKO London in 2004. Even as far back as the early 1900s, what would ultimately become KOKO London attracted some of the biggest names in entertainment to its stage - Charlie Chaplin being one.
More than a century later, that much remains unchanged, with KOKO London standing firm as one of the most sought after and highly acclaimed small to mid-size live music venues in Europe. This is evident when one considers the list of acts who have performed here in the past; Coldplay, Madonna, Paloma Faith, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Chemical Brothers, James Blunt, Jack's Mannequin, The Thrills, The Editors, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Scissor Sisters and Taio Cruz are just a few of those featured on the KOKO schedule in recent years.
