Galway Cathedral Recitals (Galway, Ireland)

Galway Cathedral Recitals is an international series of weekly summer
evening concerts in the marvellous setting of Galway's stone Cathedral.
The concerts take place at 20.00 on Thursday evenings between the middle
of July and and the middle of August annually.

The concert series' roots lie in music for the organ, but the series has
throughout its fourteen years regularly featured many different genres
of music. Appreciative audiences have been treated to performances of
choral, orchestral, chamber, and Irish traditional music, to general
acclaim.

This year's series is the first to take place with the newly-refurbished
and expanded Cathedral organ, and so it is appropriate both that the
series be centred around this magnificent instrument, and that it have a
strong Galway flavour, with Galway musicians featuring in four of the
six concerts.
