The Alexandra Palace London story began back in 1873 when the venue was known as The People's Palace. It has been serving the public as a centre for music, sport and the arts ever since. Spread over seven acres and boasting incredible views of the city as well as some stunning architecture, The Alexandra Palace London is without a doubt one of the leading entertainment venues in the country.

Over the years, the Alexandra Palace London has played host to many of the biggest acts in music; Queen, The Stone Roses, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Blur, Travis, Boyzone, Garbage, George Michael, Metallica and The Smashing Pumpkins are just a few of those featured on the Alexandra Palace schedule in the past. In addition to concerts, the Alexandra Palace London has been the location for numerous major events such as the 2002 Miss World Pageant and the 2004 European Social Forum. The Alexandra Palace London has also featured in many films and television shows, icluding a 2008 Doctor Who episode ("The Idiot's Lantern") and 1984, directed by Michael Radford.
