New Years Eve - Mellow Style

New Year's Eve Midnight Peace Meditation Start out the night with a late dinner and toast the new year! (location TBD and posted in the next couple of days). Then go to "A Place of Peace" 896 East Main Street Ventura, California 93001 aPlaceofPeace.org, Tel: 805.794.9878 "Join us on New Year's Eve as we bring in the New Year in Peace. We'll celebrate new beginnings together as community with laughter, song, food and play from 10:30 to 11:45. At 11:45 we'll begin our Meditation ...coming together in our circle to quiet our minds and hearts as we focus on the Peace we envision in the coming year: for ourselves, our families, our community and our world. Bring in the New Year with Peace! All are welcome." I am not a member of A Place of Peace, nor have I attended any of their services. This Peace Meditation just seemed like what I was looking for as a way to start my new year. Of course, you are welcome to join us for dinner, meditation or both. And in the spirit of a peaceful and welcoming new year, any guests you'd like to include would be welcomed! So this doesn't need to be 'girlfriends' only. For those of you looking for a more "party" type celebration... or those who know of any events, let me know and I'd be happy to post them on this site so that we all find the type of celebration we are looking for.
