“Haunted by History” author Craig Owens will share haunting facts about eight prominent historic hotels in Southern California and the origins behind many of their ghost stories, 6 p.m., Nov. 13, as the featured speaker for the “Speaking of Ventura County” series at the Museum of Ventura County, located at 100 E. Main Street, Ventura.

Published in 2017, “Haunted by History” reflects Owens’ solid research, fascinating insights and haunting photography, appealing to believers and non-believers alike.
