Walking Event: WSU Cougar Views

8:30 am - 6 pm daily. Walk daylight hours only. This campus setting contrasts nicely with a surrounding rural atmosphere. Experience public art, stately brick architecture, and ponds, meadows and mature forests. Cross a wooden bridge over Mill Creek, pass a historic pioneer cabin site, walk beside hay fields, through wetlands and a riparian restoration project. Country and mountain views, including both Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood. Many of the jogging paths and interpretive trails follow foot paths and game trails established by original homesteaders long ago. Surfaces include sidewalks, paved campus paths, and bark/wood chip nature trails. Three short sets of steps. Restrooms and water available at registration and on campus; campus buildings are closed on all major holidays. Leashed pets OK with proper clean-up. Strollers must negotiate steps; not suitable for wheelchairs.
