    I attended the Pretenders concert at Malkin Bowl in Vancouver on Aug. 26th (last night) and I have to say that I was disappointed in Chrissie's attitude. The music was fabulous, don't get me wrong, but Chrissie would have been wise to leave out her "meat eaters" comment and PETA activism seeing that she was dressed in thigh high leather boots and her band members clad in cool black leather and I won't mention that those guitar straps were leather either. I felt assaulted as a paying fan attending this concert to hear her tell the meat eaters in the audience to go f%$#@ themselves....what a hypocrite. I don't have a problem with people having different beliefs and values, in fact I support it, but when you assault your fans like that (by that I mean vulgarly) you better be able to back it up with your own actions. I was having a good time and considered myself a fan until that happened, now I think Chrissie can go f*&%$ herself! What a fraud!

The Pretenders are a British rock band. The original band consisted of group founder and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), James Honeyman-Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), Pete Farndon (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Martin Chambers (drums, backing vocals, percussion).
