Members: Elizabeth Bucky Chris Montreal-based musical innovator Elizabeth Powell, has been banging out "Anti Folk Basement Rock" since the ripe old age of fourteen. Born and partially raised in a one-room schoolhouse in Moonstone, Ontario, Elizabeth and her family later moved to Guelph, where she tapped into the local music scene and moved beyond Suzuki violin to an acoustic Yamaha that she "acquired" from an aunt. Influences can be traced back to early P.J. Harvey, Dinosaur Jr., and the local Punk rock and Home rock in the Royal City. Biltmore Cabaret
The Biltmore Cabaret brings a New Orleans/Gothic Bordello/Rock Club/1940’s Shanghai Show Lounge together in a modern fusion of Cabaret. The large and newly-renovated room with a 350+ person capacity is lined with warm, rich and textured wallpapers and adorned with decadent light fixtures and deluxe decorative features. Every seat in the house is blessed with great sight lines to the very large and well-lit stage. Along both sides of the nightclub are comfortably placed booths that create an intimate environment for friends and guests. The two very equipped bars are easily accessible from the large dance floor. The versatile venue has brand new sound and lighting systems designed for live bands, DJ’s, comedy acts, fashion shows and more.
