With over thousands of hopefuls, RYAN PUGAL was one of the lucky one's when he was voted by viewers worldwide that landed him a slot as one of the top five finalists on the national talent competition Famecast season one (2007). After a gruiling three month competition Pugal found himself on a plane to Austin, TX for the finals to record a live taping of the show in front of a live audience and to battled it out on stage with the rest of the finalists. Pugal placed in fourth and won the "Overall Best Artist Promotion" Award. Since the competition Pugal has released two full-length indie albums "This Is Me the Demo Project" - released in June 2007 and made pugal a instant indie success selling more than 10,000 plus digital download sales worldwide. "Jukebox45" - released in April 2009 was also another success selling over 14,000 plus digital download sales in the first month of it's release. Pugal has also been featured on the 2008 "Radio Now Volume.8" compilation cd which was promoted in Japan, Europe, Australia, Canada & parts of the USA. Pugal has sold more than 50,000 digital download sales of his music worldwide with his indie album releases combined. Labeled as a Artist Achieving Virtual Fame and Success Online, Pugal has been performing throughout parts of the US mainland and throughout the Hawaiian Islands promoting his music. Ryan sings mostly original compositions, which now numbers more than 200. The first song he composed, also one of his favorites, is ‘Miss You So Much, Don’t Know Why.’ Done in 10 minutes flat. Again. “The words just came to me. I heard a beat, closed my eyes and pressed the record button. I sang whatever came out of my mouth,” he recalls. “I write music from the heart, from real life experiences, family experiences or stories from a friend or someone I know who is going through something,” Ryan says. “Sometimes I can finish a song in 5 minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile.” He takes inspiration from Filipino vocalist Lorie Salvatera, MichaelJackson,Nicole Scherzinger, Martin Nievera, Boys II Men and Elvis Presley. Despite the fame, Ryan remains down-to-earth, thanks to his family which keeps him grounded. No special treatment for him and he definitely does not take himself seriously. “I’m a nice guy with a big heart,” he says. “I treat people the way I want to be treated. He gives back through his “Living the Dream Project” with UNICEF, which helps kids who are sick and hospitalized.“I’m just a simple guy who has a dream. I had a dream for over 10 years and never gave up,” he says. “If you have a dream, don't let anyone stop you from doing it.
