Grown up in southern France, in a city between green woody Alps and azure-blue sea, Philippe trained to be a Sheppard when the passion for guitar unexpectedly embraced him.
Guided by a wise mentor, Philippe found his lead into the tremendous classical polyphony through Villa Lobos compositions, while exploring music genres.
Seeking for technical mastery and music prize recognition, Philippe fulfilled the theory thirst with analysis and composition study aside classical guitar study at the national conservatory in Nice.
In 1991, Inspired by his honeymoon in Asia and the birth of his daughter Jade, composed his own pieces, performed with Chinese water-color painter Fu Jitsang combining music to visual arts for an intense creation: the audience loved it!
Philippe’s style and expression is a subtle balance between Latin jazz improvisation, classical finesse and bold interpretation. While touring in Canada, USA, Mexico or Brazil, he performed with equal ease with a techno band or bossa nova singer as with classical ensembles.
