A graduate (contrabass major) from ‘94 class at Uni-Rio Conservatory (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), I currently play bass for brazilian pop artists Frejat (besides whom I work as music director on the TV series "Claro Que É Rock" aired on brazilian cable TV channel Multishow) and Ana Carolina (whose new DVD/live CD "Multishow Ao Vivo Ana Carolina - Dois Quartos" features my bass playing as well as my doubling on acoustic guitar, backing vocals, pandeiro and surdo). I worked as music director on the DVD/CD "Renato Russo - Uma Celebração" (produced by the acclaimed Liminha) leading the all-star house band "Confraria".
Besides leading the compositional project 8VB (with guitarist Chester Harlan), I co-lead the small orchestra 11 Cabeças (with saxophonist Henrique Band), lead the "Weather Report" tribute group Weather Forecast, act as rhythm section leader for the big band Orquestra Popular, participate in the quartet led by saxophonist Quito Pedrosa and in the septet led by composer/trumpetist Julio Barbosa.
