THE BEGINNING
J'Wan began singing at the age of 3, and writing songs and poetry at the age of 5. By her teens she was performing around the DMV with all-girl bands Diamond is Forever, Genuine, and Royalty. After having her daughter Jessica, she took time away from music to concentrate on being a mom. But not happy with the 9 to 5 scene, she formed JYMstone Entertainment in 2004 with her cousins Zsa Zsa, Amber, Tara and Rickia.
THE PRESENT
J'Wan currently has two CD's available - "The Official R&B Mixtape" and "What Could it Be - The EP" (both available now on http://stores.lulu.com/KandiGyrl808). Her single "What Could It Be" has now been sent to radio stations nationwide and is getting play on internet radio. She's working with the production team BASSHEADS, a duo based out of Prince George's County, Maryland and others. You can catch her performing on the DMV club scene. Her passion doesn't end with music, however. J'Wan is a poet who has published her first book Words of Love and Life: An Emotional Journey. The book is available at www.amazon.com as well as her online store at http://stores.lulu.com/KandiGyrl808.
THE FUTURE
J'Wan will continue working with fellow JYMstone talent - songwriters Stylz A2Z, and vocalist/writer Tana S., and more. She will also be working with other known producers and writers in the industry. She also has many other ventures on the horizon including more books, and plays. Remember the name - J'Wan is destined to do big things!
