A little Dylan, a splash of Bono, and a smattering of punk join with sentimental and impressionistic lyrics for the sharp, driving rock of The Walkmen. Rolling Stone called The Rat2004s furious put-down single by this indie groupbrilliant, and the follow-up album A Hundred Miles Off displayed an unexpectedly lilting and rootsy side to the New York garage band sound. Flashes of Joy Division, complex percussion interplay, jangly rhythms, staccato guitars, and soaring organ will heat up the Lobby for this searing Afterglow event.
