I don't even know if I should give the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA ONE star. I went to the Bon Iver concert there (which is the most mellow concert possible) and the staff//ticket takers//bouncers were appalling. Directly after the concert, everyone (including my boyfriend and I) started exiting the Theater. As we were leaving, I noticed that they were selling t-shirts and I really wanted to get one of the t-shirts, since Bon Iver is a favorite of mine. We get up to the t-shirt counter and realize we are short $3, so we began to walk away from the table so that I could look for an ATM. We had not even left the building yet. My boyfriend told me he was going to go back to the table to see if they take credit and when he did, the one staff member push him and told him he could not walk from the vestibule back into the lobby and he was "ushering" everyone out of the lobby, quite violently. As I was walking out of the lobby into the vestibule to look for an ATM, I had turned around to find that the ATM was actually in the lobby, which was somewhat hidden at first by a group of people around it. So I turned around to go get money out of it (mind you, I never even left the building) and the one staff member screamed at me and told me to get out. I told him what was going on and that I was looking for the ATM and that I was going to just get money and buy a t-shirt and leave immediately. The staff member proceeded to scream at me and I asked him politely if I could quickly finish buying a shirt and I promised I would leave right away (this was only 5 minutes after the concert ended). He then got extremely violent and physically assaulted me by squeezing my arm and throwing me into the door to the point where I have large bruises around my bicep and it was very painful for days after this had happened. It was as though he was trying to fight someone at a bad club and he picked a 5' 3" petite woman (me) to take his anger out on at a very mello

The Tower Theater is one of my favorite places to see a show. I don't like to go to bigger places. I saw the Allman Brothers there and it was fantastic.

Description
The Tower Theater Upper Darby opened in 1927, an entertainment facility designed to accommodate both movies and vaudeville acts. Following a period of decline in the early 1970s, The Tower Theater Upper Darby turned a corner when Midnight Sun Concerts (a New Jersey music promoter) promoted its first concert at the venue.

The move was a major coup for the Tower Theater Upper Darby, revealing an acoustic excellence which would put the venue on par with such legendary counterparts as New York City's Fillmore East. Word spread, and the Tower Theater Upper Darby was soon hosting stars who would then go on to take the world by storm. David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Lou Reed, Steve Miller and Phil Collins are just a few of those featured on the Tower Theater schedule over the years.

To this day, the Tower Theater Upper Darby continues to attract some of the biggest names in entertainment to its stage. Now operating under Live Nation/ Electric Factory Concerts, the Tower Theater Upper Darby regularly welcomes acts such as George Carlin, Chris Rock, Conan O'Brien, Kelly Clarkson, Death Cab for Cutie and Radiohead.
