Event details: Graduate Student Coffee Hour - Schreyer Institute for Tea...
Description
All Penn State grad students are invited to an informal coffee hour, co-sponsored by the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence and the Graduate Student Association. Join Graduate Consultants Dawn Miller, and Stephanie Roulon and meet grad students from other fields over coffee and soft drinks! This event will be an interactive presentation on Best practices for PowerPoint and tips to effective presentations. PowerPoint is one of the most commonly used technologies in teaching and professional and/or academic presentations; it’s often used less effectively than it might be. Graduate consultant Dawn Miller will share best practices in PowerPoint use, expanding on ideas developed and tested in the classroom by Professor Michael Alley.
