Course in College Teaching

This 8-week course provides an opportunity for instructors, professors, and graduate instructors from all disciplines to share ideas and strategies for successful teaching. Because of the interactive nature of the class, it is highly recommended that people taking the course be actively teaching at the time of the course or have taught before.

Facilitated by Ondrej Mitas, Graduate Consultant, the course will include discussion and practice sessions based on information drawn from teaching and learning literature, as well as from the experiences of each individual participant. Each bi-weekly unit will include input from a different Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence consultant. Participants will explore successful teaching and learning as a collaborative group. The Course in College Teaching is held every Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in 315 Rider Building beginning February 10 and concluding April 7. There will be no class on March 10.
