Description
In partnership with the University of Arizona’s Phoenix Mars Mission, this traveling exhibit gives kids the chance to feel the excitement of exploring the Red Planet. Comprised of three interactive areas, the exhibit will allow visitors a virtual and playful Mars experience. They are: • 3-2-1-Dress Up! - Kids can imagine themselves as astronauts at this area complete with a space suit cutout (for memorable photos). Space puzzles and plush toys round out a child’s imaginary flight to Mars. • Explore Mars Kiosks! – Test your Martian knowledge at this rocket- shaped touch screen kiosk that feature questions about Mars’ moons, terrain, size, and much more. • Welcome to the Mars 3-D Experience! - Children complete their journey in space with a three-dimensional experience of the Red Planet’s terrain and the Phoenix Mars Lander. The exhibit, featured through Sept. 28, is available during regular museum hours and is included with the cost of admission.
