In honor of Jessica Meredith Jacobsen’s memory, the Knights Of Columbus Council # 4011 (Father O’Neill Council) has organized the first annual Jessica Meredith Jacobsen 5K Memorial Run on September 13, 2008. In addition to memorializing Jessica, an avid runner whose spirit and charitable works inspire us, the 5K Run will support the House of Ruth, ICS Tuition Assistance Fund and Father O’Neill Charities. Date and Time: 9/13/2008, 8:00 AM Pickup Race Packet September 11th and 12th at Falls Road Running Center, 6247 Falls Rd., Balto., MD Waiver/Release: In consideration of accepting this entry, I, the undersigned for and on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors administrators, intending to be legally bound, hereby release and discharge the Fr. O’Neill Council KoC, all sponsors, all volunteers, Race Director and agents and employees from any and all claims, demands or liability whatsoever, including, but not limited to claims for personal injury or property damage, that I may have at any time arising out of, resulting from, or otherwise in connection with the race, competition and/or event. I hereby represent, warrant and acknowledge that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the competition and that I am participating in this event at my own risk.All race entries/participants shall be bound by all applicable laws of the United States and the State of Maryland. The appropriate Maryland federal or state court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any action or dispute arising from this agreement or in any way relating to this race. T-Shirt & Amenities A t-shirt that has been designed by local artist, Andrew Snair, will be provided to all runners. Other give-aways will also be provided with post race food and beverages. Course Description:
The Course: The race will start and end at Immaculate Conception Church in Towson, MD. After departing Immaculate Conception Church, runners will go down Washington Ave., Right on Towsontown Blvd., and return.
Location and Facilities:
Location: Immaculate Conception Church is located at 200 Ware Avenue in Towson, Maryland, and is near the intersection of York Rd. & Washington Ave. Parking: Park at lower lots of Immaculate Conception Church/School or at the adjacent parking garage.
Distances:
This is a 5K run. Walkers are welcome, and should line up in the back.
