SCORE Workshop: Starting a Successful Business

This workshop teaches you a proven and accepted approach to Starting a Successful Business. You will know and understand exactly what needs to be done to keep your business on track for growth and profitability. Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement. The sessions will cover the following topics: entrepreneurship; marketing and sales; operational principles; structural considerations; insurance issues; funding; financial basics: recordkeeping, cash flow, financial statements, break-even; and the business plan. General Information: One workshop: all segments: $40 per person. To pre-pay, please send in the attached registration form with your payment, or call SCORE at 410-962-2233 to pay with MasterCard or Visa. To register at the door, please arrive 30 minutes early. Workshops will be cancelled without notice if Baltimore County Schools are closed due to inclement weather. If reasonable arrangements are needed for persons with disabilities, please call and discuss with SCORE. Event Location: Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286 (Hampton Lane & Dulaney Valley Road, Baltimore Beltway, I-695, exit 27B) Day workshops are held from 9am to 4pm. Evening workshops are held over two days (Wed. & Thurs.) from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Either one day session or two evening sessions are required for course completion. Day Sessions: Thurs., Feb. 7th or Wed., April 2nd or Wed., June 4 or Wed., Sept. 3rd or Wed., Nov. 5th. Evening Sessions: Jan. 9th & 10th or March 5th & 6th or May 7th & 8th or August 13th & 14th or October 15th & 16th or December 3rd and 4th.
