A couple of members have asked for a Karaoke Night, so this should be a fun way to practice English and learn more about one another. I've never been to Max Studios before, but, I'm told it's a pretty cool place (please see the attached web link). I'll try to reserve a private room for us. It's $5 per person/per hour and we'll most likely be there for about two or three hours. Afterwards, for those who want to, we can grab dinner and some drinks somewhere close by. I was thinking about the Irish Pub in Old Town Torrance, but, if someone wants to suggest a different restaurant or bar, please feel free to let me know. Because this is an ESL Meetup, you have to sing at least two (2) songs in English before wowing us all with a song in your native tongue. Brownie points for duets and group numbers. A BIG "Thank You" to Cindy Maeda for coming up with this themed Meetup, and for volunteering to be the first singer! See you all then.
