It’s Spring semester at UCLA. The Delta Nu sorority sisters are certain that their sorority president, Elle Woods, will soon be engaged to her boyfriend, the eminently eligible Warner Huntington the Third. But instead of proposing, Warner breaks up with Elle. He explains that he’s going to Harvard Law next fall and wants someone “serious” in order to fulfill his life plan. Heartbroken, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law.
