Event details: Katy Perry
Description
Katy Perry has come a long way from the good girl gospel music she made at the beginning of the decade. Perry, who at that time went by Katy Hudson, had a struggling music career singing gospel out of Nashville before deciding she needed to shake up her image. Now, she's an outrageous, controversial pop star who may or may not like kissing girls.
Combining tongue-in-cheek attitude with her own kooky style, Katy Perry shot to fame in summer 2008 with the single "I Kissed A Girl." Because of the lyrics that got everyone talking, Perry rode the wave of controversy all the way to top of the Billboard charts, for four straight weeks. Her album, One Of The Boys, went platinum and Perry was even nominated for a Grammy.
Although the buzz may be dying down, Perry is still top of the charts with her followup singles "Hot n Cold" and "Thinking of You." The Hello Katy tour promises to bring her love of fun, whimsy
and attitude, along with some crazy outfits, to the ACC.
Tickets go on sale May 21.

Now if Lucille Ball had a secret love child with Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, it would look, sound, and behave like Katy Perry. The L.A-based singer-songwriter’s sassy confid...Links
