Junior Boys
Junior Boys formed in 1999 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Originally a duo, Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark created a sound that would reconcile their influences. Years of collaboration followed and the resulting demo was duly sent out, but after a heap of rejections and near misses, they were resigned to being bedroom beat constructors. After Johnny left the band to pursue other interests, there didn't seem much point in continuing. That was until KIN heard their demo at the end of 2002 and commissioned more work from the remaining member. Lee's Palace
Lee's Palace & The Dance Cave are located at 529 Bloor St. W. Toronto, one and a half blocks east of Bathurst. Exit the TTC at the BATHURST subway.The building consists of two floors, each about 5000 sq. ft. The ground level is Lee's Palace which features live bands (usually alternative rock), the second floor is The Dance Cave, an alternative dance club. The Dance Cave is open 5 nights a week, Mon,Tues, Thr-Sat, with the main floor usually WED-SAT, and for mid-week Concerts
Both floors are licenced and as such are very rarely accessible to people under 19 years of age. There are occasionally afternoon ALL AGES shows downstairs which will be specially noted on the upcoming shows page.
Upcoming bands will be posted on the upcoming page. The cover charge for the bands ranges from $4 to $30, although it usually ends up in the lower range. The higher priced tickets are often for international touring acts with tickets being sold in advance at Ticketmaster, Rotate This, Soundscapes, and The 'Shoe.
