The Geomatics Engineering Program in the Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering will present 3-D virtual views of York Universityâs Keele and Glendon campuses. This 3-D visualization of the Universityâs buildings offers virtual visits in the form of interactive navigation through the campusesâ digital models. The virtual representations will provide an enriched interactive visual exploration of York University's digital spatial replica. The 3-D building model is generated by integrating aerial image and lidar data for the reconstruction of the buildings and terrain landscape together with terrestrial images and measurements for the representation of the facades of the buildings. This virtual campus representation will be accessible via the Internet as a Web interactive mapping application.
