Speaker: Gustavo Moran (MES '97), Apure State Government Advisor, Venezuela
Lecture: Agroecological Zoning and Rural/Urban Planning in Venezuela
The presentation will outline two studies conducted by the lecturer as adviser to the governor of Estado Apure in Venezuela. The first study includes the implementation of two theoretical bases, Agro Ecological Zonification and Theory of Central Places, in order to present a proposal to the Venezuelan federal government for investment on social infrastructure needs (basic public services). The second study is an agro-forest productive project in Venezuela. Both studies were conducted with local communities using a participatory budget and planning approach.
