Description:
This ambitious, room-sized installation explores the artists concerns of genetically altered foods, cloned animals and the hybridization of the material world. Crossing the boundaries of conventional ceramics, Beiners focus is making what is organic, synthetic. With encrusted walls, floor and ceiling space, imagining a manufactured world of hybridized life, Synthetic Reality encompasses the viewer. This exhibition is supported by the Independence Foundation, a Herberger College of the Arts Research & Creativity grant and members of CLÂ.
