Description
Animated/fictional death metal band Dethklok on Cartoon Networks "Adult Swim" show "Metalocalypse" comes to the Marquee Theatre. Virtual characters and music are brought to life by co-creator/comedian Brendon Small along with help of Fear Factory drummer, Gene Hoglan. Also performing is Grammy nominated heavy metal band Mastodon who has toured with bands such as Slayer, Slipknot and Metallica. Rock band Converge and metal group High on Fire open the all-ages show.

Mastodon
Since forming in 1999, Atlanta's Mastodon has essentially lived on the road. After non-stop touring the band, Brann Dailor, Bill Kelliher, Troy Sanders and Brent Hinds decided to record a demo, which would ultimately be released in a shortened EP form on Relapse Records as Lifeblood. The success of the EP spurned more touring, and even greater success. Their first full-length album Remission, followed in 2002.
