Barbara Kingsolver Introduces Her Newest Book

Barbara Kingsolver, winner of the National Humanities Medal, and author of the bestselling "The Poisonwood Bible" will present, talk about, and sign copies of her latest novel, "The Acuna". The event is sponsored by Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, but will take place at the Marcos De Niza High School Auditorium, 6000 S. Lakeshore Dr., Tempe, (northwest corner of Guadalupe and Lakeshore) on Thursday evening, November 12, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. Although we'll go as a group, it is an advanced ticket sale event. This author is hugely popular, especially in Arizona, and we'll each have to purchase our tickets independently and meet there early so we can all sit together. If you wait and buy tickets at the event, they likely will be sold out and you will be turned away. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Changing Hands at (480) 730-0205, or by stopping by at the store at 6428 S. McClintock Dr. in Tempe. You can purchase a single ticket for $34.18, which includes one admission and a copy of her new book, or for $39.18, which includes two admissions and one copy of her new book.
