For this month, we chose The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. One night the main character, 15-year-old Christopher, discovers his neighbor's poodle, Wellington, impaled on a garden fork. Wrongly blamed for the killing, he decides to investigate as Sherlock Holmes would, using deductive logic. "By turns funny and sad but always moving," says 501 Must Reads.
