Restorative and Meditation Meetup

Yes... a Saturday Yoga Meet-up. This meetup scheduled by request of some of our members to have a Saturday gathering. This will be in addition to the regular Friday meet-up so plan to come to either or eve both. Friday evenings have a sequence of structure where knowledge of yoga builds on what was practiced in previous gatherings. The motivation behind the sequencing of poses and classes is to learn the basics enough to start a home practice (that is where real yoga happens... just you and the mat, your body, gravity and what ever you can think of or remember... then just do it. This Saturday meet up is thrown out there as a litmus test to find if we have members who would like to meet with some regularity on Saturday mornings. We wil start with quieting poses (restorative) and breathing (instructed yogic breath). After a relaxing morning, come and enjoy a restorative sequence of yoga, followed by meditation. The restorative poses allow for extension and expansion of the muscles, joints and tendons to improve circulation while allowing the body to relax into the poses. It is a great way to get the body and mind quietened so that a peaceful meditation can begin.
