The rise of ‘Short Stack’ popularity on the internet and the release of three singles, Shimmy A Go Go, Princess and Sway Sway Baby has swelled the ranks of their loyal fanbase to unprecedented proportions combining powers of SMS, YouTube and MySpace to amass a following that’s growing by the second; Four million plays on MySpace, One million plays for second single Princess alone, and being Australia’s biggest band on YouTube with over 1.5 million views of their Short Stack TV series and video clips.
In the last two years the band has supported Good Charlotte, The Click 5, McFly, Hello Goodbye, Thirsty Merc, Simple Plan and the Veronicas around the country.
But now as a headline act, Short Stack are making a mark of their own.
Their Princess Ball tour sold out in March followed by their Sway Sway Baby Winter Tour with extra dates added for Sydney Metro and Melbourne Hi-Fi Bar due to an overwhelming demand for tickets.
‘STACK IS THE NEW BLACK TOUR’ hits the road December 09 to promote their Debut Album release of the same name ‘Stack Is The New Black’ out 14 august.
