Opera prima : Lo Sceicco bianco by Federico Fellini

The second appointment of the series Opera prima is Lo sceicco bianco (Italy, 1952, 85 min.), Federico Fellini’s first film. Fellini found it very difficult to persuade the producers to hire Alberto Sordi, who was then considered not famous enough for the silver screen. The first image of Sordi, of him swaying on the huge swing, is one of those Fellini’s mythical images that will become the trademark of his cinema.
