Chico McDuff, a swashbuckling inventor, crash-lands his winged bicycle in the streets of Darlingwood, a peculiar precinct in a big city where just about anything goes. On the advice of Bella de Ball, a beautiful fortune-teller, he goes to get his bike repaired by Nana McHood, the wily old witch of Darlingwood. Instead, he finds himself drawn into an enchanting web of deceit, trickery and greed that turns Darlingwood upside down.
Drawn from classic fairytales with a nod to Roald Dahl, and the madness of Looney Tunes cartoons, Darlingwood Tales is set in a wonderful urban neighbourhood of laneways and terrace houses inhabited by deliciously eccentric and wickedly humourous characters. This is serious wacky fun â âYou better be-LEAF it!â
