After a decade of decadence Chicago is returning for its Australian Premier at Lyric Theatre for a strictly limited season. Chicago tells the story of Roxy Hart, a nightclub dancer who dreams of headlining in Vaudeville, kills her lover, then convinces her husband to come up with the $5000 to hire Chicago's shrewdest, smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.
Chicago has been honoured with 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards, a Grammy and thousands of standing ovations. An estimated 17 million people around the world have seen Chicago which has played over 15 000 performances worldwide.
