Bernie Banton Black Tie Gala Dinner at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf
Enjoy a Black Tie Gala Dinner at Sydney’s newest, greenest venue, while supporting a very worthy cause.
On the 27th of November, Doltone House will host the inaugural Bernie Banton Foundation Launch Gala Dinner. The night, which coincides with Asbestos awareness week, is being held in lieu of the official launch of the Bernie Banton Foundation and to commemorate the second anniversary of Bernie Banton’s death.
The Bernie Banton Foundation, launched in September by the Hon. Kevin Rudd, aims to raise $400,000 to put towards helping asbestos-related-cancer Mesothelioma sufferers – starting with the Black Tie Gala Dinner on 27th of November. The Signorelli family from Doltone House is incredibly passionate about the foundations purpose; with Doltone House Group founder Biaggio Signorelli passing away from Mesothelioma last year. The Biaggio Signorelli foundation, established by the Signorelli family as a tribute to their father, works towards the same goals as the Bernie Banton Foundation.
The Signorelli family are a major sponsor the Bernie Banton Black Tie Gala Dinner and provided its spectacular, brand new 6-star green-star Darling Island Wharf venue for the event. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be creative journalist and renowned Director Andrew Denton, whose interview with the Banton’s on ABC’s Enough Rope in 2006 touched the hearts of many Australians. Internationally acclaimed special guest speaker for the dinner is Dr Bruce WS Robinson - Professor of Medicine, Lung specialist, Director of the National Centre for Asbestos Related Diseases, and a founding Director of the Foundation.
In addition to esteemed company, the evening promises to treat guests to fine food, beverages and entertainment. Hosted by Doltone House at its world-class waterfront Darling Island Wharf venue in Pyrmont, guests can expect the same level of exquisite cuisine and attention to detail that have become a Doltone House signature. With all proceeds going to the Bernie Banton Foundation to support asbestos cancer sufferers, this is a memorable and charitable event not to miss.
Tickets are $200 each, or tables of 10 can be purchased for $2000 (or $2700 for a VIP package) – a great idea for a worthwhile Christmas function. For those wanting to give extra support, tax-deductible donations can be made or prizes donated for the live auction/raffle, to assist in fundraising efforts.
