Thanksgiving Giving and Party at my house

This Thanksgiving Giving will last from 1-5pm. Family's Welcome! Come to socialize! Come to give back to your community by participating in a food and blanket Drive for Sacred Heart Community Center! Come to Play a game like Uno, Clue, Apples to Apples, Taboo with your friends or meet some new friends. I will have cheese and crackers, drinks and Amish friendship bread for all who come. Please bring a snack if you like. The dinning area will be reserved for games and eating. The living room is were I will collect items for my Thanksgiving Drive for SHCC If need be I can have another game table in the livingroom. Plenty of room for fun! Items that I will be collecting ongoing and on this day are: Canned goods; pumpkin pie mix, green beans, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn ext. Think buy one get one free sales, costco, grocery outlet stores. Dried Food; Stuffing Mix, potatoes, dried milk ext. Blankets and sleeping bags; you can even buy these from salvation army or goodwill New socks and underwear, all sizes. Note I will keep some of these packages for the next survival sack drive. Clothing, warm jackets - Mens clothing especially needed. Tell your husbands, brothers, fathers, co-workers about this and collect from them as well. Recyclables. These items are no cost to you but are needed to package food for SHCC everyday; plastic and paper grocery bags, rubber bands and egg cartons. Thanksgiving, the rain and cold weather are creeping up. Sacred Heart is planning on giving out 4,000 food boxes and 4,000 Turkeys to family's for Thanksgiving. People are also in need of some basic items. Please bring with you any of the combinations above. Drop items off with me and stay if you would like to meet your fellow members, play some games. We are all Blessed in many ways, most of us can say we have a roof over our head, plenty of good and varied foods to eat, are own transportation and the ability to splurge on ourselves and family. Well how about we do a little splurging on those less fortunate for Thanksgiving.
