From fall to spring, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) performs a varied repetoire at the Ordway Music Theatre and 8 other Twin Cities locations. The SPCO is a prime attraction for travelers, providing either a destination in itself for groups seeking the finest in cultural events, or a delightful change of pace for visitors looking for events that are relaxing, uplifting and fun. Choose from:
- Friday and Saturday evening concerts in the warmth and excitement of the Ordway, surrounded by the glittering lights of Rice Park and award-winning restaurants.
- Friday morning Coffee Concerts--complete with complimentary refreshments--are perfect for groups and day trippers.
- Sunday afternoon concerts, with special "Kid's Fare" discounts, are perfect for a family outing.
Attend our "Fanfare" concert preview prior to all Friday morning and Friday and Saturday evening shows for informal discussions with the musicians and guest artists on the program. The SPCO offers complete group tour services, priority ticketing, free promotional literature, and assistance in planning meals as well as activities before or after the concert.
The only full-time professional chamber orchestra in the country, the SPCO remains committed to devoting "the major portion of its programs to the wonderful literature, both classical and contemporary, that is not ordinarily played by large symphonies" (Quote taken from original mission statement, 1959).
