Jason Price is the co-founder and Director of The Skyway Jazz Orchestra, a 10-piece big band based in Minneapolis, MN. The Skyway Jazz Orchestra has performed for many public and private events, and most noteably, has performed with internationally known trumpeter and vocalist Byron Stripling. They have also performed at The Twin Cities Jazz Festival and the Minnesota State Music Educators Convention. Members of the Skyway Jazz Orchestra have performed nationally and internationally with well-known jazz musicians, and have also performed with many other ensembles on Grammy-nominated recordings. Jason Price is a professional drummer and educator in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. In addition to performing in and leading The Skyway Jazz Orchestra, he is also the leader of The Jason Price Trio and The Fusion Thing, both based in Minneapolis. Jason also performs with Synergy, The R Factor, Elevation and The Clay Pufahl Trio. He also performs for many corporate events annually, as well as plays theater shows for Old Friend Productions. Jason is also an active educator, teaching private drum set lessons, drum clinics and master classes, and serving on the drum set faculty for The Shell Lake Arts Center's Jazz and Drumset Camps. Jason is also the Director of DayJams, a National Rock Band Camp with a campus operating in St. Paul, MN.
