Come Play Wallyball!

**Note DATE change** Join Dav for Wallyball!!! :) This is a HUGELY FUN sport!!! :) (especially with the softer ball!) :) Please be there by 6:45pm. It is called Wallyball. Wallyball is Volleyball played on a racket ball court. They string a net across the racketball court and the ball is soft. The rules are same as Volleyball with this twist. You CAN play the ball off the wall. There are a few DON'T(s), like can't hit your opponents back wall or it is out. Can't hit two walls. Can't hit the ceiling. So if you can imagine, it makes it more of a finesse game, and less about POWER, or hitting it hard. It is like playing Volleyball inside a pinball machine in how random it can be. Most points end in laughter and smiles, rather than a victory yell. The court can hold 6 people per side, so 12 people can play at a time (just like badminton.) The cost for court time is but $15 dollars an hour, and I have reserved the night for 2 hrs from 7pm till 9pm, to accommodate our varied schedules and what I hope is many people's desire for a fun low impact workout with friends. If we all contribute 2-3 dollars, we will easily cover the costs, with all extra $$ going to our MeetUp fund as a donation. I will not be "capping" this event. Like badminton, we can rotate IN/OUT people after games, people might value a breather, water up etc. Suggested dress - gym attire, sweats, tennis shoes, T-shirt, gym shorts. Something loose and comfortable - so that it's cool, just be comfortable. Bring water bottle otherwise you can buy one there, if you choose. The wallyball courts are on lower level of Maplewood Community Center, locker rooms if desired are also on that level, ask at the desk. I will be paying up front and will be there early to facilitate court setup and name tag hello's. Just ask at desk for directions to wallyball court.
