Description

While many music venues concern themselves booking the most famous band they can, the Old Rock House schedules some of the most talented indie musicians in the country. Located on South 7th Street next to highways 55 and 44, The Old Rock House provides an excellent venue to showcase bands and musicians that don't conform to the typical mainstream sound and have come to the welcomed relief of weary music lovers. Whereas the musicians are bold without being flashy, so is the club, with spacious and ornate settings that aren't over the top.

The current look of the Old Rock House is a far cry from the original house that opened in 1818. The bar has a rich history serving the people of St. Louis; even more so after it began to schedule hit musicians that couldn't be found anywhere else in town. Tickets have been sold for concerts by Jenny Owens Youngs, Authority Zero, and St. Vincent, and the events calendar is always full of talented artists like these. The Old Rock House itself is also talented, with two spacious stories, a full bar, a small BBQ menu, and classy design that contribute to a night of first class amusement.
