HOLIDAY BRASS CONCERTS FEATURING SLSO'S SUSAN SLAUGHTER

The 15th annual Holiday Brass Concerts are scheduled for Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 2:15 and 8:00 p.m. Organized by Susan Slaughter, Principal Trumpet of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO), the concerts feature traditional holiday favorites.

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Holiday Brass Concerts, the Stoneback Triplets - Mary, Kristin, and Sarah - will make a special debut appearance at this year’s concerts. The Stoneback Triplets appeared with the SLSO at the Queeny Pops in 2000 and were first discovered by Susan Slaughter when they attended the 1997 International Women’s Brass Conference held in St. Louis. The identical triplets who all play trumpet, will be joined by Susan Slaughter, the Holiday Brass Ensemble, antiphonal brass and organ, and the Chancel Choir of Central Presbyterian Church, performing such holiday favorites as “Silent Night”, “Hallelujah Chorus”, and “Ave Maria”.
