Come witness the dramatic transformation of the former Fresh Kills Landfill on Staten Island into Freshkills Park. On the tour, in addition to traveling to the top of two capped and closed garbage mounds, you will learn about the history, engineering, and landscape design of the park.
Each free tour is guided by an Urban Park Ranger and lasts approximately an hour and a half.
