      NIH Day

The National Institutes of Health plays a key role in the expansion of biomedical knowledge. NIH-funded research leads to tens of thousands of new scientific findings every year. These fundamental advances and technological developments expand understanding of health and living systems, form the building blocks required for translational and clinical advances to occur, and foster the generation of new knowledge within the scientific community by supporting training within the research workforce. Mississippi State University is offering a full-day seminar that will feature morning presentations by NIH program officials sharing useful tips and information for research success. They will discuss the application and review process, clarify federal regulations and policies, highlight current areas of special interest or concern, and respond to technical and administrative questions about the proposal lifecycle. After lunch, MSU research administration professionals will present sessions on creating NIH-specific aims, including do’s and don’ts; how to package an NIH proposal; and the NIH submission/funding cycles for research success. This is a come-and-go event, but participants should register in advance to ensure they are included in the count for lunch. Click the link below to register for this free seminar. Location
