      SOOTHING SOUND BATH MEDITATION

      Do something WONDERFUL for yourself and try our new Soothing Sound Bath class! A Sound Bath (or Sound Meditation) is a meditative event, intentionally using sound to invite therapeutic or restorative effects, balance, relaxation and a sense of wholeness to the body. The sound of harmonic vibrations created by singing bowls, gongs and other overtone-emitting instruments are intended to stimulate the alpha and theta brain waves. These waves are associated with deep meditative and peaceful states that are highly conducive to healing. It is a gentle yet powerful experience for the mind and body. The practice of 'stilling' the mind and body, has been scientifically proven to benefit our minds and our bodies by reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, boosting our immune system, aiding digestion...all accomplished through mindfulness that meditation brings . Studies have shown that regular deep relaxation (20 minutes/ 3x a week) increases the "gray matter' in our brain, enhancing our ability to think, react and respond calmly to adverse stimuli in our lives. Come join us for a complimentary session every Thursday at 7:15pm Perhaps enjoy Vinyasa yoga at 6:00pm and then RELAX in our sound bath class!
