Walking Event:

This walk requires a short drive from the Mayfair Hotel in Belmar to walk start which is in Sea Girt (1875), a one square mile town facing the Atlantic. Visit the Sea Girt lighthouse on Beacon Blvd which began operating in 1896 and was the last active lighthouse built on the Atlantic coast, going out of service in 1945. Next enjoy the picturesque seaside town of Spring Lake with wide tree lined streets with beautiful homes along the oceanfront and around the lake. Note the fine shops, boutiques and gourmet restaurants. Walk along the beach on a non-commercial boardwalk before returning to Sea Girt. This walk is suitable for strolers and wheelchairs.
