Comic Circle Outing: Geppi's Museum (Baltimore, MD)

A year has snuck up on The Comic Circle! It's been a great year filled with meeting new people, mini and large-comic cons, outings, discussing comics, watching movies, and of course making friends! It was a hard decision on what to do for the one year anniversary but we've always been a low-key, laid-back group and this event should represent that. This location comes highly recommended from our very own member Mike We'll finally be going to Geppi's Entertainment Museum (GEM). It promises to be a journey through 250 years of American pop culture. A place where we can you revisit our childhood and get back in touch with old friends that entertained us in the past through comic strips and books, radio and television shows, films, cartoons, and so much more! The museum exhibits nearly 6,000 pop culture artifacts including comics, toys, dolls, games and memorabilia of every conceivable category. Journey from the late 1700s to the present day and revisit favorite characters like Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Mickey Mouse, Barbie, G.I. Joe, and many more. GEM is the home of "pop culture with character!" Also while we're there the Special Exhibition, "Out Of The Box" will be going on: Get hands-on with pop culture at GEM! Take an up-close look at the characters that are popular today with toys that you can actually touch and play with in our Special Edition gallery. The future of pop culture collecting is out of the box and in your hands at GEM! We'll be leaving the NoVA area at 12:30pm in hopes of arriving to Baltimore by 2:00pm. If you need to follow me, you can meet me at the Borders where we usually hold or meetings. This is also where you'll need to meet me if you are riding with me. After the museum we'll be eating at Gino's Bar & Grill (home of the $5 pizza!) for some good times as always. There will be at least 2 cars available for our use, so that's 8-10 people who can ride.
